Xplain Logistics specialises in one corridor and runs it properly: air cargo from Ghana into the Netherlands and Germany, and sea cargo from the Netherlands and Germany back to Ghana. For families sending goods home, and businesses moving stock both ways.
Fast air freight out of Ghana into the Netherlands and Germany. Best for goods needed quickly, lighter shipments, and time-sensitive commercial cargo. 5kg minimum per shipment.
Cost-effective sea freight for barrels, household goods, and bulk commercial shipments heading to Ghana. Priced by volume, not weight.
We don't try to cover all of Europe or all of Africa — Ghana, the Netherlands, and Germany are the only lanes we run, and we run them properly.
Depot collection in Ghana, depot collection in NL/DE. Suited to personal items, samples, documents, and lighter commercial goods needing speed over cost.
The route most families use to send barrels and household goods home, and the route most businesses use to export bulk commercial stock to Ghana.
Import/export paperwork and customs clearance support on both ends of the corridor, so nothing sits stuck at port or airport.
Drop your goods at one of our depots — we consolidate with other shipments heading the same way to keep your cost down.
Once your air cargo lands in the Netherlands or Germany, you're welcome to collect it free of charge from our depot. Prefer it delivered to your door instead? We can post it on for an added postage fee, charged by weight (kg) — just let us know when you book.
Most carriers on this corridor focus on one or the other. We run both because the same plane and the same vessel carry both.
We currently operate on a depot drop-off and collection model — bring your shipment to us, or arrange collection in advance.
We consolidate shipments to keep costs down, which means fixed departure dates rather than ship-whenever-you-like. Both air and sea run on the same two Fridays each month — plan your drop-off around them.
Ghana → Netherlands/Germany. Departs the 2nd Friday and the last Friday of the month. Minimum 5kg per shipment — smaller items are consolidated to reach the minimum.
Netherlands/Germany → Ghana. Same cycle: the 2nd Friday and the last Friday of the month.
Drop off your shipment before the Friday departure — ideally at least 2 business days ahead to guarantee that cycle. But the transit clock itself only starts on the Friday the flight or vessel actually departs, not on the day you drop off. Drop off early in the cycle and your goods simply wait at the depot a little longer before that Friday — it does not arrive any faster, and it does not get delayed either.
Xplain Logistics exists because its founder was already importing goods from Ghana into Europe for his own business — and built the freight operation he wished already existed.
We don't spread thin across all of Europe and Africa. Ghana, NL, and DE — that's it, and we know every step of it.
€16/kg for air cargo out of Ghana. Transparent per-CBM quotes for sea cargo to Ghana. No surprise fees buried in fine print.
A single barrel home to family gets the same care and tracking as a full commercial consignment.
